Hidden among the tall pines and soft forest light, this 1947 ranch-style home has always had a quiet charm—set on a single story and surrounded by nature. But as the Ross family began to envision a more functional layout and room to grow, they set out to expand their home while preserving the atmosphere they loved most.

The project centered around a one-story addition to the existing residence, carefully extending the home’s footprint without interrupting its connection to the landscape. Today, the Cooper residence feels both renewed and rooted. It remains a true ranch-style home—grounded, simple, and connected to the land—but it now offers the space, function, and comfort needed for modern living
